2015 – Escape from Alpha 9, Aspley Den and Merchant Park, Aspley

This night-time activity was well attended by all five Troops in Bramble Bay District. Charles S Snow District also joined the game. In all, 80 Scouts, 30 Venturers, 6 Rovers and 23 Leaders attended. The game was based on 1960’s science fiction TV series such as Star Trek and Lost in Space With a carefully executed plot, our ship wrecked space traveller Patrols in their ATV chariot (card board box ) scoured the tiny planet – finding various dump points manned by the peaceful inhabitants, bidding for the purchase of enough space junk in the local currency (smarties or M & M’s ) to build a communication tower whilst avoiding capture by the dark and menacing nomadic warrior like natives known as the Kryptolinguites. We had the Venturers acting as the Kryptolinguites. Rovers and Leaders maned the 6 dump points – Andromeda, Hydra, Centaurus, Ursa Major, Cygus and Draco. The game ended when the Patrols gathered enough gear from the 6 dump points to build the communication tower. The game was awesome to say the least
